The Train "Odessa-Mama" is a tale steeped in authentic Odessa based, Ukranian-Jewish humor, and it is about love between two very different people. This story has it all - love, laughter, tears, memories, poetry, live music and dancing. The play is in Russian and Ukrainian with English subtitles.

Bridge to Freedom: a Cross Cultural Conversation
In celebration of MLK Jr. and as the opening for the SEED School student exhibition in the Meyerhoff Gallery, the Gordon Center will host The Melting Pot Band, a premier twenty-member jazz orchestra specializing in performing the pieces of Baltimore’s own Henry J. (Hank) Levy.
Prior to the concert, SEED student artists will lead parents, teachers, friends and guests through the exhibit. During the concert, SEED theater students will perform spoken word and oratory in the Gordon Theater. Proceeds for the concert will support the SEED School, the Hank Levy Foundation and the Gordon Center for Performing Arts.
Tickets $20; $10 Seed School Staff/Students, Seniors, JCC Members. There is a $2 per ticket fee.

An ultra-orthodox Jewish family from France comes to a farm in Calabria for a brief stay every year to carry out a sacred mission: harvesting citrons. Here Elio, the farm owner, meets Esther, the rabbi’s daughter, who is tired of the constraints imposed by her religion. Together, Esther and Elio will explore what it means to define their own paths.

For the 24th annual tour, Brian Gore has assembled a lineup of three IGN favorites and an exciting newcomer. LUCA STRICAGNOLI (Italy), the amazing acoustic rock interpreter, will be returning for the 4th time. THU LE (Vietnam), whose nylon string artistry stretches from classical to contemporary) was on the IGN 2022 tour. MARCO PEREIRA (Brazil), the master composer and performer, first toured with IGN in its early days and returns for his final go-round in 2024. And MINNIE MARKS (Australia), the irrepressible blues slide guitarist and singer, not only is new to IGN but will be making her North American debut. We are grateful and honored to present them all.

Thomas Jefferson was heavily in debt when he died on July 4, 1826. His beloved home, Monticello, was nearly in ruins when it was purchased a few years later by Uriah Phillips Levy, a Jewish officer in the US Navy. Over the next 90 years, the Levy family saved it from ruin twice. Along the way, the Levy family endured the brunt of antisemitism, while also being confronted by the stain of slavery that existed at Monticello before the Civil War.

The Superintendent's Combo is the United States Naval Academy Band's jazz combo designated to support the many events hosted by the Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy. The group regularly performs for local military officials and visiting dignitaries from around the globe at the Superintendent's residence - Farragut House - and around the Naval Academy.
