The Blind Boys of Alabama are recognized worldwide as living legends of gospel music. Celebrated by The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and The Recording Academy/GRAMMYs with Lifetime Achievement Awards, inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and winners of five GRAMMY® Awards, they have attained the highest levels of achievement in a career that spans over 70 years. The Blind Boys are known for crossing multiple musical boundaries with their remarkable interpretations of everything from traditional gospel favorites to contemporary spiritual material by songwriters such as Eric Clapton, Prince and Tom Waits. They have appeared on recordings with many artists, including Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Aaron Neville, Susan Tedeschi, Ben Harper, Patty Griffin and Taj Mahal.
We are thrilled to announce that the Kelley Bell Band will be opening for the Blind Boys of Alabama!!
Tickets are $55-$60. There is a $4 per ticket fee. Senior and JCC member discounts are permitted for this concert.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES OF GORDON CENTER TICKETS.
We welcome participants of ALL abilities. If you need any accommodatioins, including an oral or sign language interpreter, please contact us at least 2 weeks prior to the performance. Accessible seating is available for all performances. These spaces are specifically design for people that are in wheelchairs and for their companions. We offer Senior Citizens and JCC members when specified. Please check the event descriptioin to see wether or not these discounts apply. Discounts are not available at the box office. We are temporarily closing our box office Monday's through Friday's for walk up ticket sales. The Gordon theater ticket windows will remain open for “at the door” ticket sales one hour prior to each show’s start time. THERE ARE NO EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS OF GORDON CENTER TICKETS.
